Syria

Since 2011, Islamic Relief has been providing support to Syrians affected by the ongoing conflict – working on the borders to provide food, blankets, and hygiene kits as well as subsidies for rent.

In 2012, we began working deep inside Syria to provide essential humanitarian relief as the violence continued to escalate.

As well as helping vulnerable people still in the country – reaching around 1.4 million people in 2013 alone – our programmes in nearby countries offer vital support to families that have fled their homes.

We continue to lobby the international community to halt the conflict, and call for essential humanitarian corridors.
