Home Based Education for Women in Afghanistan (HBEWA Project)

The project provide literacy training, skill development as a mean of livelihood and health and hygiene Awareness 6500 women of the most vulnerable communities in Nangarhar, Bamyan and Balkh Provinces.The project’s objective is to support women deprived from education mainly due to cultural, social and Security issues. Health awareness will improve hygiene and nutrition practices among beneficiary families and will Impact improvement in the child nutrition and reduce mortality rate caused by lack of literacy, awareness, and Understanding. To focus on the economic empowerment of target women and provide a mean of livelihood, The project will offer skill development training and provide relevant equipment and toolkits to start a business as a source Of income to contribute to the family economy. The project covers 6500 women for two years that funded by IRUSA.

Assisting Orphan’s Education in Afghanistan (AOEA Project)

Assisting Orphan Education in Afghanistan (AOEA) is one of the most vital educational projects which is focusing to address the needs of the orphan by the provision of quality education partially in the orphanage and extend support orphans in the community to have access to education; providing the quality education and education’s material (school stationery, school uniform, school bags and Eid stipends) to the 658 Orphans, in two provinces (Bamyan and Nangarhar). In addition, the project has two implementation approaches, which has been considered the school approach in Nangarhar (Khog-Koor school consists 358 girls and boys orphans’ students), and community-based approach in Bamyan province that re-enrolled 300 out of school students who were not able to continue their lessons in the schools.

Since a long time, IRW-Afghanistan is supporting the AOEA project, which is the biggest achievement for, Islamic Relief Worldwide-Afghanistan, not only the high ranking government official are visiting the orphanage, always appreciates the AOEA project’s activities and all other IRW’s projects in Nangarhar but also the community members and other stockholders respects the organization, for implementing such kind project. For example, providing quality education, and facilitating of a dormitory, food three-time daily, education material, and all over other living facilities, for 50 most poor and vulnerable orphans’ students that most of them have lost their both father and mother, during the internal war in our country. This institution would be able to bring a bright future for whom that, as if, they lost their hopes of being such as position in the society.

Moreover, it also needs to be mentioned that another crucial component of the project is an implementing of the child rights awareness and hygiene promotion awareness among the society especially to the families of the students who are the beneficiaries of an AOEA project.
